Why Alpha Online?
Alpha Online is a great option for people who would like to know more about the Christian faith but can't attend an Alpha Course in person.

St. John Neumann's Alpha course has been run using the online format for the past year due to COVID restrictions for in-person gatherings, and has been a great success. In addition to our own parishioner's participation online, many have invited friends and family from all over the country to join us for Alpha. It has been a wonderful experience to share the Alpha journey with loved ones and friends who normally wouldn't have been able to participate with us. 

What Can I expect?
Alpha Online uses the Zoom platform. The content is exactly the same as the traditional Alpha Courses and it is run in the same way as the traditional Alpha Course. Your hosts, helpers and and session leader are from St. John Neumann parish. The Alpha Film Series will be presented. Your Session Leader will keep the session running smoothly and on time. You will be assigned to a table facilitated by your Host, for fellowship and small group discussions. Although we will not be able to share a meal with one another, other fun icebreakers will be offered to help you get to know your fellow guests and the Alpha team.

Who can join in?
Anybody, age 18 or older! Have you ever wished you could take the Alpha Course with your sister in Arizona, your parents in Florida, your college roommate in Wisconsin? Alpha Online literally has no boundaries! People from all over the country can join us simply by clicking on the registration link on the St. John Neumann website.

More about the Zoom Platform
With Zoom you have the flexibility to participate in the Alpha Sessions wherever you may be as long as you have a computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone compatible with Zoom. You do not have to download the Zoom application to be able to participate in the Alpha sessions. Once you have registered for Alpha Online you will receive an email each week we are in session with an invitation to join the scheduled session. You join the session by clicking on the link provided in the invitation. This makes our sessions secure so no unwanted "guests"can hack into our sessions.
